10 Cyclists – 1000 Miles – 10 Days – 1 Inspiration

In February of this year we announced that our director would be taking part in a cycling challenge along with 9 others in order to raise awareness of Alexander disease.

The goal was to cycle 1000 miles in 10 days, visiting 18 children’s hospitals and raising as much money and awareness as possible for the charity Climb. Adrian Harvie, the organiser of the cycle had in his sights a target of £25000.

The following video documents the cyclists’ incredible journey and the inspiration behind such a remarkable challenge.

On the 5 September employees from Rapidgrid were lucky enough to be invited to a dinner, dance and auction at the Cardiff City Stadium in order to celebrate the occasion and add to an already impressive total that had already been raised.

The event turned into a fantastic evening with a lovely dinner, great music and plenty of refreshments! Most importantly we managed to raise our total fundraising amount to a massive £70000!

We are so proud to have been involved with the Children’s Hospital Challenge who are now eyeing up their next challenge!
